About Me

I am a full-stack developer who transitioned into tech after graduating with a Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland. While taking a career break to raise my twin daughters, I took on the challenge of building Carrect, a reverse auction web application. This experience reconnected me with my foundational studies in software engineering from South Korea, inspiring me to transition into development professionally.

To learn how real-world teams write efficient code and communicate to prevent complex codebases from getting tangled, I enrolled in Dev Academy. Recently, I acted as Product Owner for a full-stack code typing game, guiding my team from concept to successful launch. • Tech Stack: React TypeScript Node.js Express PostgreSQL
• Role: Acted as Product Owner and full-stack developer. Managed the project scope, designed the component architecture, and led the team from initial concept to successful MVP launch.
• Outcome: Completed the core MVP ahead of schedule. Implemented real-time typing accuracy tracking and data persistence for user scores.

A reverse auction platform for the New Zealand vehicle repair market, allowing users to request and compare panel beating quotes. [Launch Pending]

• Tech Stack: JavaScript PHP WordPress MySQL DigitalOcean
• Role: Sole Developer. Engineered the core application logic by implementing Layered Architecture (Domain, HTTP, Infra) within a custom plug-in structure and the database architecture from scratch.
• Outcome: Built and deployed an MVP to staging in just four months. Currently polishing the codebase and refining the database architecture to ensure a stable, compliant production launch.

Experience

• Worked in agile environments that reflected real-world tech teams during this intensive full-time 800-hour bootcamp. Participated in stand-ups, pair-programmed with peers, and managed Git branches for team projects day-to-day.
• Built and deployed multiple full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL under strict time constraints.
• This experience solidified not only my technical foundation but also real-world tech teamwork.

• Completed a Bachelor of Property at the University of Auckland and dedicated time to raising twin daughters.

• Established an independent e-commerce business distributing consumer tech products across New Zealand. Managed the entire operation end-to-end, including the website based on WordPress, from negotiating with international suppliers to executing targeted digital marketing.
• Running this business expanded my view of the overall business operation and my interest in the tech industry.

• Collaborated with site managers to procure materials and execute construction tasks according to floor plans or concept images, ensuring project deadlines were met.
• This role made me realise how much I enjoy building and creating new things.

• Managed a high-volume B2B delivery and sales and led a regional team.
• This experience taught me how to cultivate client relationships and handle a fast-paced environment under pressure.

• Managed daily operations in a high-traffic environment, handling staff hiring, scheduling, customer relations, and complaint resolution.
